1- What is an airline transport pilot license (ATPL) ?
Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) is the highest level of certification an aircraft pilot can have. The ATPL license is also known as an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate (in the US). It allows a pilot to be in command of aircraft with a certain passenger number. To become a Captain with an Airline, a pilot will need to have an Airline Transport Pilot License.
2- What is a commercial pilot license (CPL) ?
A Commercial Pilot License (CPL) is a type of license that legally allows you to fly an aircraft and get paid as a pilot. Having a CPL means you already hold a Private Pilot License (PPL), and you have finished your training towards CPL.
3- What is private pilot license (PPL) ?
A Private Pilot License (PPL) is a type of license wherein you can legally fly an aircraft solo or with other people. Private pilots are trained to navigate small aircraft by themselves.
4- What is the difference between Modular Pilot Training and Integrated Pilot Training ?
The difference between Modular Pilot Training and Integrated Pilot Training is that in Modular Pilot Training, you can train at your own pace and train for one license before moving onto the next while in an Integrated Pilot Training program you are training using a full-time curriculum which combines the different training stages and licenses (Private Pilot License, Commercial Pilot License, and usually Instrument Rating and Multi-Engine Rating).
5- Do I Need to Speak English to Become a Pilot ?
English is the international language of aviation! Pilots are required to speak, understand, write and read in English!
6- What are the medical requirements to become a pilot ?
There are three kinds of Medical Certificates:
Class 1 Medical Certificate – This is the highest level of certificate and allows maximum privileges. This certificate will allow you to be a Captain of an aircraft.
Class 2 Medical Certificate – This will allow you to be the second-in-command in an aircraft.
Class 3 Medical certificate – This will allow you to have the privileges of a private pilot, recreational pilot, or student pilot.
7- What is student pilot license (SPL) ?
A Student Pilot License (SPL) is a type of license that enables a student to fly a registered aircraft under the supervision or authority of a licensed instructor or be able to fly solo after receiving an endorsement from a licensedinstructor.
